Finally, the article you have been desperately waiting for! The diving equipment gathering dust in the corner of your living room can be put to good use! No longer do you have to stare at the pizza in your fridge, desperately wishing that it could be taken down to the briny underwater depths! I am here to tell you that someone got hired to be a scuba diving pizza delivery man, so this is now a job that exists in the world! Let’s take a trip down to Florida (where else?) to profile the Jules’ Undersea Lounge and their unique job opportunities, as first reported on by Aol.
This full service hotel is located twenty-one feet below the sea level in Key Largo, Florida. This place has all the latest up to date amenities, but only two rooms are available to stay in at a time. Maybe this isn’t the best place for your entire wedding party to stay? But rates are only a few hundred dollars a night, which is honestly not as expensive as I envisioned!
Rob Doyle is the official pizza delivery man, but he also works on the operations and maintenance of the entire facility, and he provides scuba diving instruction for any interested guests. Technically he doesn’t just deliver pizza, he will provide any and all room service needs! But how does this process actually work? Well, it turns out that there is an airlock underneath the hotel’s structure. The hotel uses a unique water-tight container to deliver all of its items, and so far there haven’t been any leaks as Doyle dives down to complete his requests.
So for any Floridians out there, how haven’t you checked this place out yet? This could be great for a romantic getaway, or really just for anyone who wants to sleep in the ocean! Once quarantine is over, I am definitely going to check out this place for myself! Maybe one day you too could achieve your newly found dream of delivering hot and fresh pizzas while literally swimming with the fishes!
