Why Are Job Interview Questions In The U.K. So Strange?

The Daily Mail recently ran an article online about common ‘difficult’ job interview questions in the U.K., and frankly… they’re a bit different from what we’ve been asked in our interviews. Some have even gone as far as to describe them as trick questions, and we agree with that characterization. However, we’ve heard reports that this interview style is becoming more common everywhere, and by using sound interview strategies, anyone can get through it!

Some common questions listed were “How many traffic lights are there in London?”, “How would you interject a fight between Batman and Superman?”, and “Tell me a story.”

These questions, none of which have simple answers, are all a test of your ability to employ problem solving and improvisation. Keep calm, utilize logic, keep in mind your people skills, and don’t be afraid to inject personality into your answer, and you’ll be just fine!
